Mario Maurer and Erich Gonzales Star in Suddenly It's Magic!

Thursday, September 27, 2012

You guys probably know by now that the Mario Maurer and Erich Gonzales movie entitled "Suddenly It's Magic!" is going to be shown soon. We got first dibs on asking the stars of the movie. I was eager to see both of them but I kinda knew that Mario is in Bangkok. You guys pretty much know I love Erich since I've covered her way back Maria La del Barrio and Corazon days. This light hearted film just spells so much excitement to me because this project by Star Cinema is going to other places than just Manila. Imagine, they are also going to be shown in other countries like Malaysia, Thailand, probably China and other Asian countries. It's a step, and everyone knew what was going to happen next.

Her face just lighted up the room, when she arrived she immediately told the host to introduce all of us and she remembered me.

So I didn't ask tough questions later hehe =)

She told us how easy it was to actually work with Mario. She also mentioned how gorgeous Mario's skin is, told us he didn't have any pores and doesn't want to do overtime when the hours are done. Shooting in Thailand was very disciplined and you won't be able to do anything more than what is submitted to the authorities there. It was strict but you kinda see how they were able to work with different nationalities. If they say that the shoot will start at 8AM in the morning, they will start at that time and would have everything ready in 30 minutes. All the lights, rigging, cameras are all ready to go.

Enrico Santos says they don't really have any problems shooting in Thailand. Erich has nothing but very good words about the film crew there. There is a huge difference but even the Filipino crew didn't become a problem either so it was smooth sailing. Even if it was only a few days they didn't have any problems with food, or comfortable chairs because even Erich brought Mario one. So did Mario when they went to film in Bangkok. They had the greatest scenes filmed in Ilocos, the scenes in Bangkok were good too. They wanted to do a balance between tourist spots in both countries and show the best. The majestic churches, windmills, beaches in Paoay, the temples in Bangkok, the rivers and the lovely side streets of Thailand, it was like a combination of both and as what we saw in the trailer... it really did work. I even asked Erich about the slapping scene, if you saw it (Maaawa ka kay Mario) because she slapped him so hard! But they were happy about that take because they only did it once. =) She said sorry afterwards, of course!

Enrico Santos presented Erich as the next Asian beauty. Different, non Caucasian, pretty face she's got all of that. He says Erich Gonzales will be the one to look at as The New Asian type of leading lady.

I totally agree.

Then to my surprise we were able to get someone hooked up through Skype.

It was Mario Maurer! =)

Erich and Mario were joking about how each of them looked. I was lucky enough to ask questions about this and his other films. Of course there is probably something different =)

I tried my best to talk in Thai but I guess he didn't understand it LOL. Anyway he said this is a feel good movie and the conditions of the other movies he did in Thailand are totally different. Plus the chance to work with other actors from different countries was a great experience. He says he loves adobo, and everything in the Philippines. He's planning to go back next year just for a tour because he wants to get to know the country more. He also wants Erich to do the same so he can take care of her when she's in Thailand. He wants to show her around just like Erich wants to do if he comes back for a vacation.

He was so nice, I got very nervous honestly. There is something to look forward to in this movie and if you are not going to do anything on its showing date on October 31, 2012! We just can't wait to see the chemistry between Mario Maurer and Erich Gonzales to spin and make this movie a little sweeter! Are you excited as I am? =) Mario Maurer and Erich Gonzales would like to see you in theaters too! =)

Myrtle Gail Sarrosa Endorses Fun Cologne Spray Lolita!

Some of my photographer friends know Myrtle since she often works with them on Cosplay shoots. This was the time when she wasn't still in Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition. The experience for her probably brought a lot of opportunities; and this particular event I went to a couple of days ago must have been one of them. This is also my first time meeting her.

Have you guys ever heard of Lolita? If you know of this fashion craze in Japan's Harajuku district they often dress up in Victorian period attire and try to mimic living and breathing the lifestyle that could have been in that era.But you know, Myrtle brings in something so young and fresh playing this role and the throng of people supporting her can prove just that. Adding another feather to her hat, Myrtle now is endorsing a cologne spray of the same name. Introducing something great by Beauty Elements Ventures Inc. (BEVi), this is LOLITA!

The LOLITA brand was perfect for her since she often plays like one here in the Philippines. They basically had these cologne sprays match her personality so they came out with 6 different ones and I've smelled them all myself that weekend. For the playful and outgoing Lolita, they Rogue scent would be perfect. For the ones who love a fruity sweet scent the Fairy would be the best since it's got that candy-ish undertones. For those who are inlove and in the mood for something romantic, the Cospink would be great. For those who would prefer a floral, more fun and adventurous kind the Cali would be nice. For those would want to stay fresh and lime toned scent the Fantasy would be better. If you want to be a little sweet and warm, the Chick would be awesome for you... it makes a lasting impression for those who prefer something light and airy. Isn't it wonderful that they have something for everyone?! =)

Lolita truly personifies Myrtle in so many ways and she's so happy that it got launched the way she wanted it. Aside from the Lolita cosplayers in the venue, there was also a fashion show from various bloggers in the metro. They were dressed to kill and it was so nice and fresh to see these guys strut the runway like that century in River Thames. Beauty Elements Ventures Inc. (BEVi) also got us to try out some of their other products too. Myrtle would be the perfect ambassador to represent this fragrance that will surely be a byword among teens and pre-teens who simply adore Myrtle and something definitely new, fresh and so fragrant! It was like different kinds of tea in an English pub, but more feminine. Girls would surely go gaga to get one of these!

It's definitely not too late to feel special so go ahead and grab this cologne sprays when you visit stores nationwide! Lolita 100ml retails only for P96.00. It's available in Watsons, Mercury Drug and Robinsons Supermarket & Dept. Stores now!

Congratulations to Beauty Elements Ventures Inc. (BEVi), Kojie San for making Lolita also trend that evening. You have outdone yourselves and made this a sure fire hit when it does reach the stores nationwide! Congratulations also to Myrtle Gail Sarrosa, good job on getting this gig! You've got a long way to go, but you're getting there!

PS. Thank you so much to Paul who hooked us up that evening! Buddy did a good job! Congrats!

Celestial Tiger Entertainment Brings KIX and THRILL to The Philippines!

Wednesday, September 26, 2012

Cable TV has gone leaps and bounds in programming. I remember when we only had 2 cable companies in the Philippines and our only means of watching movies were a few channels, not that we're too old but the cable service industry in the Philippines is really quite young. Now, there are hundreds of programs, thousands of movies all that could be delivered in the comforts of your own homes. Now we've heard something even better!

Andy Chang is the Senior Vice President - Marketing for Celestial Tiger Entertainment

Hong Kong based media conglomerate Celestial Tiger Entertainment which manages a throng of Pan Asian free tv mediums and cable television channels that are solely concentrated to Asian content has now brought two great channels called KIX and THRILL. It's about time we get the chance to watch world class movies and programs all whipped up in two stations.

KIX, for men who want it raw, unadulterated, exciting action; this station promises the best full action entertainment channel. Not just movies, even contact sports like MMA and the different leagues around it. Imagine BELLATOR Fighting Championships (Mixed Martial Arts) and It's Showtime (Kickboxing Championship Tourney), M1, even Top Gear Korea (a licensee of the popular brit auto show); these are some of the few titles up on the programs list for Kix alone. For us guys, getting that testosterone boost and gaining knowledge in athleticism is very essential because we need it while on our own chair. With popcorn and beer on the other hand, we say "This is the life!!" haha!

Thrill on the other hand will bring us the best Asian Suspense, Thrillers and Horror flicks all in one package that is actually unprecedented in Philippine Cable programming since its inception. We also got word that "The Road" will also be part of their upcoming series of specials next month. What makes a person chase after creepy shows like these isn't an exact science but if you think about it, there is some kind of excitement in Asian films like these and if you put them together in one place; wouldn't that be easier? You really can't stop that natural thirst for something that would trigger the "Adrenaline Rush!". Make sure you tune in on their Fear Fest happening this October! Now that's THRILL for you!

KIX and THRILL will be available on Channel 63 and 73 on SkyCable, Channel 220 and 201 on Cablelink, and Channel 10 and 11 on Destiny Cable. It will also be distributed to provinces nationwide by Creative Programs Incorporated (a subsidiary of ABS CBN) so make sure you ask your local cable operator to get this now!

Congratulations to Celestial Tiger Entertainment for launching two great channels that the Filipino audience truly deserve! Let's kick ass and crumble in fright as we watch KIX and THRILL soon on our own homes. I'm already sure I'll get KIX! Beat that! =)
