The Millionaires Wife: Ina Raymundo

Friday, June 24, 2016

She's been in the minds of men for years. Ina Raymundo was someone we started to fantasize about when she played the "Sabado Nights" vixen everybody loved. She's gone leaps and bounds from that young 90's commercial model era and has gone through life just like the rest of us. But just look at her, how can anyone be at this age and look like this? I already felt life was unfair and age was really just a number when we talked to Allison Montecillo, the lady she played in The Millionaires Wife. As the daughter of a rich man, she believes this woman (Luisa played by Andrea Torres) who suddenly came into their lives was just after their family's money. She couldn't do anything about it as she was also brainwashed by the character of Stella played by Ms. Jacklyn Jose, who later on she found out, was plotting a scheme to get it for herself; and may incidentally had Alice's father killed by Jared (Sid Lucero's character). The story's pretty much going to be discussed by her on this video, listen in!

Her Grandfather's death in the story was a coincidence but it further flamed her to believe the lies that Jacklyn Jose's character told her. It's pretty hard to even prove there was love between Luisa and her Grandfather and that, will ultimately be a spark to the conflict between them. Ina Raymundo was lauded by her peers (particularly Sid Lucero and Ms. Jacklyn Jose) even though at first she thought she had an evil bone on this character. Sid Lucero mentioned that if there was one thing that he'd wanted to do after this show, is to work with Ms. Ina more, even in other projects. He felt this stint in the show working with her was too short, and perhaps he'd get to do more when the time comes.

I like the part where Ms. Ina  also mentioned things about her Dad. I actually know Mr. Jun Raymundo because he's one of the original members of Bits and Pieces, a popular band in the 60's because my Uncle Reggie Bueno is part of that band too. I just kinda messed up explaining that to her during our small chat though LOL. Anyway, I'd like to be able to talk to her again sometime soon.

The show is about to end and The Millionaires Wife will surely be missed. Don't forget to watch the last episode today too on GMA's Afternoon Prime!

Rescue 5 Lauded by Government Agencies

Private institutions like Rescue 5 have been sternly supporting government efforts in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management. They're the public service team of the happiest network in the country TV5 and they're gearing towards real deal partnerships with lead government agencies and just recently forged it with the National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council, Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), Bureau of Fire Protection and Department of Education. They launched an activity book for the benefit of kids and simple minded people that inculcates disaster preparedness which also has been approved by these agencies, a step that would help further the cause to save more Filipino lives in the future.

This is part of Rescue 5's Oplan Handa sa Eskwela Project that has been going around the country to educate more children that live in disaster prone areas so they would not encounter any problems when the supposed BIG ONE happens in the near future. They also show safety demos and videos then give 72 hour survival kits that contain emergency devices and supplies. This has not been done in this scale ever before and this prompts TV5 to pursue cause journalism even more as they see a very big potential to help our brothers save lives when it happens.

TV5's Head of Public Service Sheryl Yao and Rescue 5 host Renz Ongkiko spearheaded the campaign and will continue to be there to pass the message to thousands, even millions of our countrymen so we could minimize the effects of disasters when it strikes.

Congratulations on your efforts TV5! Congratulations to the whole Rescue5 team too for further putting out this cause!

The Millionaires Wife: Andrea Torres

The show is about to end this week and I was thinking of releasing this as an homage to the men and women who have been painstakingly doing their job to make a really interesting show in the Kapuso network. I really love how passionate I've seen these actors and actresses were and in the fulfillment of their work, I sat down with them to ask about how they feel now that the show's about to end. Lead star and vixen Andrea Torres shares her experience working with her co stars and what she'll be missing most about doing the show.

Here's our video interview:

It's been a while since I've seen Andrea but it's a good thing she still remembers me. She's extremely dedicated to her craft, I've also heard her co actors tell us how much work she's put out just to make this show look good on screen - and I don't think I'll be ever surprised if she lands another project on primetime in the next few months.

She deserves it and if luck finds it's way, she'll be an even brighter star as she is today. Thank you for the opportunity to talk to you Andrea and sorry for bugging you during your taping in Batangas. It was a pleasure interviewing you!
