To start off, they did a mini fashion show their skin ambassadors. I must say, most of them are flawless, young and all, check these shots!

This brand caters to Filipino skin care needs, male, female, lgbt, that need not be imported and all home grown. I want to thank God, my sister, my family, my grand parents, TSB staff, I want you all to stay humble and make this brand successful in the next few years. Jamie Rivera and The Company at the Music Museum

Wednesday, January 23, 2019

When I heard it was Jamie Rivera and the Company, I couldn’t help but wonder where they’ve been and what have they been doing. Their music has inspired millions of people over the years and continued to do so til now. I’ve seen and heard teens listen to their songs tirelessly and with gusto, which is why this new concert they are doing on the 14th of February at the Music Museum just came at the right time. It’s called “Jamie in Perfect Company.”

Moy says "Our demographics are more or less our age but we do have a younger audience too, we have new OPM and we feel we have a renaissance of music and the late 70's and the 80's have been brought back by indie artists and people are getting inspired especially in Spotify. We Jaime and the Company will be doing new songs but it will be a surprise. People pigeon hole us, but we can do more than just pretty love songs. Jamie can do comedy, musical theater, we do too. We're going to be giving them songs from the stage and contemporary, we are doing this all plus inspirational music. There is one section where we will be singing each other's songs but we have to keep it under wraps."

Ms. Annie says "Hugot is still going to be there because it is an aspect of love, so we will be making it part of the show."

Jaime says "I'll be singing those songs you love, but I'll be doing new ones and I hope to see you there so you know how we are going to do it. We also have covers and you have to watch out for that. We do not usually celebrate Valentine's Day because we are at work, it's a busy time for us and it's good."

Jamie known for her songs “Hey It’s Me”, “Awit Para Sayo”, and “I’ve Fallen For You”, plus the World Youth Day anthem “Tell the World of his Love”. I also love The Company for their hits “Muntik Na Kitang Minahal”, “Now That I Have You”. Their members have come and gone but now have Annie Quintos, Moy Ortiz, OJ Mariano and Sweet Plantado. Tickets will be sold on Ticketworld and Music Museum for Php 3950, Php 3450, Php 1450 (VVIP, VIP and Silver). Make sure you follow @StarMusicPH for updates and more shows very soon.

This is produced by Star Events and CCC Productions. It feels and seems so good to be with them on Valentine's Day.

Piolo Pascual Endorses POTATO GIANT

The place was packed, smelled like potatoes settling in a deep fryer. This evening was about to become great as POTATO GIANT welcomes the Philippines most eligible bachelor Piolo Pascual. Albeit living healthy, he does indulge in few fried things and he loves what the company offers. The brand has been a staple in Universities and Colleges in Manila and they're raring to expand in different provinces as they're making it available all throughout the country. Choosing a guy that is fresh, yummy and differently flavored was just the apt thing to do because it is like their products too according to their executives. It wasn't hard to convince Piolo because he tried them all before joining the brand.

Jec Cantillon Potato Giant’s President and Co-Founder says “We have a reason why we got an endorser. Back in college, we used to order potato cuts and it was my favorite so we built one and named it Potato Giant. It was my sideline and what affected us was when the landlord passed and we had to vacate the place. We transferred to another place but it was full, the owners converted their previous office into a stall and accommodated us. Our business grew, after a few years I grew tired of trying to catch up with a masters degree so I could teach in college. People taught me to expand, people started to believe in the brand and the hard work we put in it. We opened in schools and universities, it was easier to do that since I had experience in teaching. The students came back, alumni's. My classmate opened in Bacolod, we joined the franchise expo and prepared for it. We always get best booth design awards, good mileage in social media, we even had more competitors. We started putting more awareness in our products and we really needed an endorser. Piolo was on top of our list, everyone knows him. Our potatoes are locally grown, we knew it could compete with the rest of the market. We want our mission to be a reality.

He adds “I hope we will get a lot of interaction from our customers now that Piolo is our brand ambassador. We will also give away prizes (weekly) plus a chance to win their very own franchise. Our basic cart is 250K and our mall kiosks cost 499K. Fixed fees of 5,000 every month. This year we might even open a branch under Piolo too.

Erica Mendoza the Potato Giant Finance Head says “Why Piolo? Piolo Pascual is fresh like our Potpots, we have different flavors, Potpots is yummy, Piolo is too (she kids). It’s not hard to get Piolo, he studied aboit it and  checked our company. They tried the products and everything went rolling. He is very down to earth and approachable.

For 2019 they want to open in other locations, in streets, in roads, train stations and every where in the country. Now that Piolo endorses them, he will be seen in collaterals like posters, life size standees, video commercials for web (and maybe TV) and just about every store wall available because they want Piolo to be everywhere where Potato Giant is.

You should try their Potpots in White Cheddar, a personal favorite.

10 Reasons To Watch BORN BEAUTIFUL

Monday, January 21, 2019

Okay, I think it’s about time you get ready for this wonderful film by Direk Jun Lana and Perci Intalan which had us all at the edge of our seats with the tons of trailers they came out with. I was hoping to see this last MMFF but as Direk Perci told me, they will have their time. I was one of the few people invited to see the film’s UNCUT version last week, so here’s 10 reasons why you should watch BORN BEAUTIFUL.

1. This is a SEQUEL. The highly successful DIE BEAUTIFUL needs to be continued and this did not disappoint.

2. Martin Del Rosario as Barbs is eye candy. He fits the role like a glove, because if it’s not him it wouldn’t be believable why Barbs always wins in beaucons. There I said it.

3. Lou Veloso is a very good actor then, he’s greater now. You will love his quirks, how motherly and forgiving he has been not just for Barbs, but for every gay person she’s welcomed to her home and business. You will love her even more in confrontations, she’ll blurt out expletives like breakfast, tons of it.

4. Paolo Ballesteros is also here. His character Trisha is no small role, in fact he feels like a highlight in this film even if it was a few cameos. He comes armed with the makeup transformations he’s known for. This time though, it will be iconic, it will be controversial, it will stir emotions of the conservative, religious, but he explained well why he did it (as part of the conversation).

5. Kiko Matos is ANIMALISTIC. He’s the rough and tough guy you always fantasized about. He did it and Barbs liked it. Maybe because there’s just too much tongue all round lol. Even if it was traumatic in the beginning and all the friends warned her about him, she chose to be with him still. Until when? That remains to be seen when you watch this film.

6. Akihiro Blanco is the ROMANTIC type. I must say, I didn’t expect him to do the things he did in this film because he’s always been the goody two shoes, the guy who wouldn’t dare do it with a guy, but he gave himself for the craft and I think I heard several shrieks in the front row (from his fans) who actually felt it was a romantic scene every time he appeared with Barbs on screen. That is a good measure of his capability as an actor, I personally also am rooting for Barbs and him to be paired in the movie given the circumstances (which you will see in the movie). This actually happens in real life and this was a tough way to bring it out in the open.

7. Jun Lana and Perci Intalan are geniuses. As Direk Jun puts it he says “We do not make films to be SAFE. If you make a film, you must step on something. If that’s what you want then let’s not make films anymore.” That for me is a tough and bold statement, I can’t wait to see what they have in the series through Cignal.

8. VJ Mendoza (albeit shortlived) have delivered strongly as Princess. The comedic punches in this movie was an opportunity to show how crafty people are and have that sense of TIMING. He did good, also the whole cast so prepare yourself laughing continuously on some instances.

9. This movie will educate you about OPEN relationships, how to LOVE as much as you can. It also discusses about false religious groups, abuses, mature stuff not normally discussed in classrooms. I hope this would be allowed to be viewed R-16 as they are appealing I think. The uncut version wasn’t as harsh or overly matured as I thought it would be. MTRCB should reconsider.

10. It is worth every penny you will spend for a movie ticket, I even can say they have given even MORE in this sequel. I would highly suggest you bring yourself, your straight friends, your LGBTQ+ people because this would be something people could LEARN from aside from getting the entertainment value it brings.

Born Beautiful is also being planned to be shown as a series in CIGNAL very soon. Before that, you should take the time to watch it this January 23, 2019. This again is written by Direk Jun Lana, done by Screenwriter Rody Vera, Elmer Gatchalian, Ivan Andrew Payawal and Fatrick Tabada. This is produced by CIGNAL Entertainment, Octobertrain Films and The IdeaFirst Company. Some scenes will be bleeped on the regular screening, but you will still have the story told.

Congratulations to the men, women, LGBTQ+ people who made this what it is. 9/10 for me.
