Philippine Teams Fare Well, APAC Predator League 2026 Host India Announced

And then, there was one.

The gallant efforts of our Philippine teams was quite fruitful, but the championship went to our neighbors from Malaysia and Indonesia.

Alter Ego (for Valorant) and Myth Avenue Gaming (for DOTA 2) just won the Predator Shield for 2025. They have bested teams from 14 regions, all falling to really good strategy and teamwork on both games. They won 65,000 US Dollars in prize money. ZOL Esports of Acer Philippines won 1st Runner up and a 20,000 dollar pot. Team Ivory on the other hand placed 2nd Runner Up which gets them 7,500 USD, still a great finish. MVP prizes went to CUD of Alter Ego and Bob King of Myth Avenue Gaming. They have  a separate prize for that too around 10K USD. In the two days, they also held several celebrity performances, CosWalk competitions, different activities to celebrate the occasion. Follow their official website to know more about the winners.

Foundation Benefited 1,000 Individuals with Make-a-Wish Program

Looks like the holidays have been very apt for the folks from DigiP1us and their social arm Bing0P1us Foundation because they've been a very giving mood through their "Sagot ng Bing0 ang Regalo Mo Program" which is part of their community efforts aimed to help those who need it most in 24 cities just last year. 

Their executives and employees (mostly volunteers) made sure wishes from 45 folks were screened meticulously, as part of their Make A Wish program and their holiday activities nationwide. This was supported by their Executive Director Anglea Camins-Wieneke who puts this as one that could spark hope, love, that could impact the lives of those who are in the community.

To solidify the campaign, they also created a series called ChristPlus Stories, mostly about love and sacrifice that were shown on their social channels. The heartwarming videos elicited really good feedback from netizens, and those who were able to learn a thing or two about relationships, and kindness. Xiaomi Launches Redmi Note 14 Series in the Philippines

Looks like they won't be stopping anytime soon as Xiaomi just recently launched the Redmi Note 14 series in the Philippines. This is quite an aggressive start of the year for the phone and aiot device manufacturer especially during the first quarter of 2025, with devices that would promise to produce iconic shots, AI crafted images, equipped with a 200 MP main camera and durability needed for today's lifestyle. In grand ceremonies at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in BGC, they brought in different models such as the Redmi Note Pro 5G, Redmi Note 14 5G and the Redmi Note 14.

Tommy Adrias of Xiaomi's Marketing says "Today is all about Redmi Note, our most popular one in the world. We want you to experience the flagship experience, and loved by millions across the world. These phones have 108MP cameras, still can get stunning details, one that can also perform in low light, and can create more in Ai. You can erase  with AI and has IP68 standard quality. It is durable from drops and scratches. It also has security, a powerful chipset (Mediatek dimensity ultra). They also have this in 4G versions, if you are not keen in having 5G connection yet. It comes in Lime Green, Midnight Black, Ocean Blue and Lavender.

It costs PHP 5299 and a thousand off if you purchase it early.

The Buds 6 Pro is quite nice, comes in 3 color ways. Delivers bass, treble and crisp sounds. It also has noise cancellation which is useful for different scenarios. It can last 36 hours, has a line display indicating power left. This costs Php 3599 but can be bought PHP 3199 if you get it early. It's available at Shopee. NINA Set to do "LOVE MATTERS" Concert at New Frontier Theater this Valentines Season

The one and only Asia's Diamond Soul Siren Nina has been heavily missed and this February 7th, she's ending that with her very own concert titled "LOVE MATTERS" which will be at the New Frontier Theater at Araneta City.

Nina says "You have to stay with your roots, it's challenging for an artist and singer. Even if it's your sound, you change it to what is current so you remain relevant. Folks should sing, interpret it the way the audience would feel it too. People listen, and it could be technical but they should know how to make folks people feel the love. My daughter has been noticing how people are approaching me and take photos. She's got clues now."

She adds "I haven't found any challenging song because I really do learn it first before recording. Maybe if I could do Through The Fire, put a spin on it that is more acoustic rather than belting. I still get nervous, I think every time I do get nervous because I always want to put out a great performance. I don't drink, nor smoke, so I take good care of my voice. I don't eat pork and beef, I eat everything else that makes me happy."

She tells us "There will be new songs, perhaps this year a new single or album. Love Moves was the one I got to really enjoy in the Nina Live album. We will certainly celebrate all kinds of love in the Love Matters concert."
